FAQ
The venue i have chosen has a coordinator, why do i need to hire a wedding planner?
Most venues have a venue coordinator on site to assist you on your wedding day. Their sole responsibility is to the venue and not the bride or wedding party. A venue coordinator usually makes sure that the tables and chairs are set up correctly and the food is served on time. Typically their day is done at the start of the reception. They do not know the ends of outs of your entire day and are also not responsible for setting up decor or making sure it’s taken down at the end of your wedding. A wedding planner will be right by your side months before your big day and throughout the entire wedding. She/he is also responsible for managing all details, logistics, timelines and vendors. Simply put, a venue coordinator works for the venue. A wedding planner works with you to ensure a successful day.
are you flexible with the vendors you work with?
While we do enjoy working with certain vendors, we understand that each wedding has its own personality. We will always refer creative, professional vendors to meet the specific needs of our clients.
how far in advance do i need to book your services?
12 months in advance is ideal to book our services, especially if you have chosen the full planning package. Getting your date on calendar and initial deposit will secure the date you have selected.
what personal items should the bride bring to the venue on her wedding day?
With all the jitters and excitement a wedding day can bring, it’s always helpful to have a reminder of a few important items you do not want to forget on your wedding day:
Wedding dress and all accessories that go along with it, i.e., train, veil, shoes, stockings, corset, jewelry, etc.;
A robe to have on while your hair and make-up is being done;
Touch-up makeup;
Mini emergency kit;
your soon to be spouse’s ring; and
the marriage license.
Will i have control over my wedding, or will the planner take over?
Working with a wedding planner does not mean that your vision and ideas are tossed aside. We are here to manage your day, give great ideas, refer the right vendors and foresee any issues that may arise. We have our clients best interest at heart and will always be honest about what is best. Ultimately, the day is about the couple and the planner ensures that the process runs smoothly along the way.
I’m believing that 2021 will definitely be a huge year for the wedding industry, especially since so many events were affected due to COVID-19. Postponements were undoubtedly disheartening for many engaged couples.
