Tops Trends for Planning 2021 Weddings

What’s Trending for 2021 Weddings?

We believe that 2021 will definitely be a huge year for the wedding industry, especially since so many events were affected due to the pandemic.  Postponements were undoubtedly disheartening for many engaged couples.  However, this inconvenience gave many the opportunity to save more money and put their own creativity and personality on their special day.  Each year new trends evolve, keeping brides current, in the know, and simply ahead of what’s new.  This year's weddings will bring a deeper meaning; cherishing life, being grateful for the simplicity of things we take for granted and relishing in the fact that we will be able to spend more time with friends and loved ones.  Weddings are meant to be special, fun and memorable events, bringing two lives together for the rest of their lives.  After so much isolation, your special day will bring joy to a once daunting time.  It is anticipated that most couples will want to “go big” on everything from huge bouquets to extra attendees since they waited months or even an entire year to celebrate this special day.

Let’s look at a few hot trends that will make your wedding unique:

An Expression of Gratitude

Wedding days are known to be all about the bride and groom.  Guests eagerly stand for the beautiful bride to walk down the aisle after admiring her nervous, handsome groom at the altar.  Tears flow and smiles are bright as the couple says “I do”.  Later everyone looks on in awe as the new Mr. and Mrs. slow dance to their favorite song.  So much love is shown and it’s only befitting for the couple to express gratitude to their family and friends.   Adding a personal note on your guests place setting will be a sweet gesture, bringing a deeper meaning to your celebration.  Be sure to include how much that person or couple means to you or why they were specifically selected to be a part of your day.  In such turbulent times kind words go a long way and would be greatly appreciated by your guests.

Tradition

The return of tradition will be a sentimental feature for 2021 weddings.  Bringing back timeless dresses with long trains and veils will give your ceremony a nostalgic feeling that was loved by so many.  Brides are becoming enamored with the church wedding idea decorated with floral archways and flowers lining the aisles.  And of course the infamous “something borrowed, something blue, something old, something new” mantra holds memories that have been shared by many family generations.

Pastel Colors

Colors are fun when planning weddings and can usually bring any space to life.  Pastels will definitely be a hit this year.  The very presence of these colors brings a relaxed and calm vibe.  Gorgeous pinks, lilacs, yellows, baby blues; the possibilities are endless!  Adding orange, coral, purple or green can compliment this array of pastels beautifully.

Big, Round Reception Tables

The reception meal is one of the most important stages of your wedding day.  We personally like the idea of big, round reception tables which fit about 20-30 guests.  They are beautiful and romantic and much easier for guests to interact with everyone at the table.  Wedding guests are typically excited to catch up with people they don’t see often and being able to do so makes the day/evening more memorable.

AmbiAnce and Design

To tie it all in, the ambiance  of your venue is important for creating an unforgettable wedding experience for you and your guests. Unique lighting to include ceiling of lights, exposed bulbs, elegant chandeliers and mini lampshades have become a mood setting element of celebrations and are great to look at.  They add to the all-ready romantic feel of the evening and in general just a nice touch.  Drapery decoratives that fall from the ceiling with garlands or beautifully placed on walls are popular for both indoor and outdoor weddings.  The sheer elegance of these beauties are sure to be an eye catcher.

Creating an experience for other senses is a great idea as well.  Perhaps a sax or harp player, overgrown garden vibes or interactive food or cocktail stations.  There are so many possibilities to keep your guest in mind, while making your wedding day unique, beautiful and memorable for all that celebrated.
